The Contour, Slendertone, Flexbelt & Enervive EMS ab toning belts reviewed
Ab toning belts are a highly effective way to work your abdominal muscles as if
they were being exercised. They are made with gel pads that
fit over your abdominal muscles, using technology proven in over
20 years use on physical therapy patients. The ab belt sends a charge through the gel pads to the muscles underneath, then to the muscles that branch out from there, causing them to flex and contract as
they would if you were doing crunches or situps. This
means your abdominal muscles can work by themselves to become
stronger and more toned!
Do I have to exercise to see results with an ab belt?
No, you don't! That's the really
great thing about an ab toning belt - A high quality ab belt is the perfect quick, safe
and convenient alternative to doing hundreds of situps or
crunches every day! Ab
Toning belts are easy to use and designed to work for all
ages, all fitness levels, at all stages of your life. You
can wear an abdominal belt while you do cardio exercise,
do chores, surf the internet, watch TV or just sit at a desk
(just imagine how easy that is!) Thirty minutes a day is all it takes for you to take
your abdominal muscles from flabby to toned and fit.
The only factor that will limit the results you see is the quality of
the abdominal belt you choose! Read our comparison and more detailed look at each ab toner below for more information, as we reveal the #1 ab belt:

The Ab toning belts in more detail:
The Flex Belt
The Flex Belt is the highest quality ab toner we tested. It's also the most up-to-date in design and materials that you can buy. The Flex Belt is also known as the Slendertone Sytem Abs, due to the fact it's the newer 'next generation' version of the Slendertone ab belt we also tested. Read any of the ab belt reviews and the Flex Belt always gets good results. The Flex Belt costs $199.99. Supplied in the pack is the Flex Belt ab toner with a set of four gel pads and an extension so it will fit any size waist, as well as the rechargeable battery pack, remote control and the users manual.
The Flex Belt extremely easy to use and very comfortable to wear. You have total peace of mind with the Flex Belt as it is well proven and backed by a great 60 day money back guarantee so you can try it out for a good period to see if it works for you, and it's also fully FDA approved (it's the only ab belt that is!)
The Enervive
The Enervive is made by Flex, the makers of the Flex Belt ab toner and is available for the same price, $199.95. Like the Flex Belt, the Enervive is not available to buy in stores, only direct from the manufacturer online. The Enervive is not strictly an ab belt as the gel pads can be placed on any muscle group you wish to target, making it a very versatile piece of equipment. There is a 60 day money back guarantee offered, and a two-year warranty. It's also very high quality and both comfortable and easy to use.
Overall we were impressed with the Enervive, although we experienced much faster results with the Flex Belt when targeting our abdominal muscles, and found the pulses from the Enervive less powerful but we did like the fact we could use the Enervive on other 'problem' muscle groups such as thighs, butt and biceps/arms as well as the adominal muscles.
The Contour belt
The Contour Ab Belt (also known as the Contour Abs or Contour Core Sculpting System) is widely advertised on infomercials on TV and is available for a total of $199.80 plus the $14.95 trial fee. The Contour belt doesn’t offer nearly the quality of construction and performance or ease of operation of the other ab belts. The pulse strength and ab contractions were also weaker with this ab toner. Since the Contour Abs costs slightly more than the Flex Belt, it makes the Flex Belt obviously the better value for money. There is also no money back guarantee offered outside of the 14 day trial, which obviously is a bit of a concern. Overall we found the Contour belt a little uncomfortable to wear, and not as effective as the other EMS systems we tested.
Slendertone Flex
This Slendertone Flex is the earlier version of the Flex Belt and costs $150. The Slendertone has many similar features to the newer Flex Belt, but we found it to be of less quality, and also found the electronic pulses weaker. As a result, ab contractions were not as strong and our abdominal muscles didn't feel they got such a good 'workout'. Also the waist belt doesn't go as large as the Flex Belt or the Contour, so it may not be suitable for everyone. The Slendertone is a little outdated now, but it's a good product overall and would be suitable for those who want to spend less on their fitness and wellbeing.
Conclusion
There's no doubt that using an electronic ab toning belt is a very effective way to strengthen and tone your abdominal muscles. Check out our comparison above and see which one you think will give you the best results for your money.
If quality and results are the most important
to you, then the Flex
Belt is the ab toning belt that should be your choice!
The Flex Belt combines high quality components with proven results and is backed up by a superb manufacturer, sixty-day money
back guarantee and a two year warranty. It's used worldwide by major sports
stars and has received a lot of positive press reviews and comments from
satisfied users. The Enervive is also worth considering if you want an EMS toner that can be used on a variety of muscle groups, not just your abs.
